Avalanche!

A new game on Nitrome has just been released! Avalanche: A Penguin Adventure has just come out in time for Christmas. You are a cute little penguin on a tobbogan sledding wherever you wish, when all of a sudden- BOOM! You're running (or sledding) for your life from an Avalanche! This game tests your skill, reflexes, and like for "Run For Your Life" platformers all at the same time! The music and cute graphics keep you from being in a state of panic and worry like some other "Run For Your Life" platformers. The controls can be reset and the quality can be changed in the new options tab. The controls are [right] to push forwards, [left] to brake, but no backwards, [up] to jump, and [up] in the air to fly higher for a limited time only, to reach those ledges just out of your reach.There is only 1 way to die: be overcome by the avalanche. Falling through gaps will result in you falling for eternity until the avalanche overcomes you. Also, there are 2 types of ground: Snow and Ice. Snow is slow, but you can escape the avalanche on anything but a steep slope. Ice is really fast, but you can't brake on it. There are also many ways to be slowed. Hitting rocks, crystals, and trees, will cause you to stop instantly, and be invinceble for about 2 seconds. Bears run towards you, doing the same as rocks 'n stuff, rabbits pop out of their holes, for a short amount of time, and snowballs hurtling at you. There are also thing to help you: Rocket sleds go hyper fast for 5 seconds, cable cars transport you much faster then the avalanche over obstacles, and yaks kich you ove distances. Now, there are 2 modes in this game. There's adventure mode, with 15 levels to unlock. And there's also survival mode, also called "Level Infinity" that goes on forever until you die with randomely generated landscapes and obstacles. So, happy "Running for your life"!

Okay. I don't have much time, so... Includes: The Elder Clan, 24-hour-long level skip mode, non-edge-scrolling button, 4 clans to be released, 8 levels, title screen, music, ect.

Level Editor Game

I just realized: Either Icebreaker 2 or the other winter game will most likely have Level Editors! Nitrome specifically said `So look out for a level editor game in the next few months` in september. It`s been a couple months so I think the next or after next game will have level editors. Stay tuned!

New games page!

Hello again, I wanted to say that Nitrome made a blog post about a new Winter Games page and how there'll be even more new winter games for it. I know there's already Cold Storage, and Icebreaker 2 coming soon, but there's that penguin game in the new skin and Winter Games sidead. So this december I think 3 winter games will be released. And on the winter games page they have the Game Preview box where you can watch all of the previews from any winter games, just like the Hot Games box. Have fun!

Icebreaker sequel!

Hey, everyone! On Nitrome's blog they announced a sequel to last year's winter game, Icebreaker! That means the sequel among the other Icebreaker games will look like this:

Cold Storage Game

Say hello to Nitrome's first winter game of the season! It's called Cold Storage. You are a yeti captured by a giant and put in a oversized freezer. You can use hanging poles to escape. Avoid baddies and crystal spikes! There are many different types of poles: Normal, Icy, Super, Rusty... and more! Play it for yourself!
